THE CRUNCH
Acemagic has unveiled a compact mini-workstation at IFA 2026 that houses AMD's top-tier Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 'Gorgon Halo' APU. The system features a 16-core Zen 5 CPU, Radeon 8065S integrated graphics, and an NPU delivering 55 TOPS, all within a chassis measuring 158.5 x 158.5 x 81.5 mm. It supports up to 192 GB of LPDDR5X memory, dual 2.5 GbE ports, Wi-Fi 7, and an OCuLink interface for expansion.
Acemagic is targeting the high-performance niche with a new mini-workstation that fits inside a chassis roughly the size of a shoebox. The device is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 'Gorgon Halo' APU, which combines a 16-core 'Zen 5' processor with Radeon 8065S integrated graphics. The system is designed to handle local processing of large language models, creative work, and gaming without needing a discrete graphics card.
The workstation is equipped with 192 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8,533 MT/s, which is intended to support demanding workloads. It also features an NPU capable of 55 TOPS in INT8, bringing the total system performance to about 131 TOPS. Connectivity options include two USB4 ports, dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and display outputs via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.
For users who need more power, the machine includes an OCuLink interface that offers PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. This allows for potential expansion with external GPUs or other PCIe devices. Storage is handled by a single M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe slot, supporting SSDs up to 4 TB.
