THE CRUNCH

AMD is reportedly preparing a standard Ryzen 5 7500 processor for the AM5 socket, according to a leak. The chip is said to feature six cores and 12 threads with a 65W power rating, mirroring the specifications of the existing 7500F model. The new CPU is expected to include integrated graphics and ship with a boxed cooler, distinguishing it from the OEM-only 7500F. However, the proposed price of roughly €230 ($267) is

Roland Quandt, a known industry leaker, claims AMD is readying a standard Ryzen 5 7500 to slot between the 7500F and the 7500X3D in the product stack. The leaked specifications suggest a 3.7 GHz base clock and a 5.0 GHz boost clock, matching the 7500F's performance figures. The chip reportedly features 38MB of total cache, comprising 6MB of L2 and 32MB of L3.

The pricing for the new chip is reportedly set at around €230, which converts to approximately $267. This figure places the 7500 above the 7500X3D, which is currently listed around $285, and significantly higher than the 7500F, which launched at $180. The substantial price premium suggests the 7500 will include integrated graphics and come as a boxed retail unit with a cooler included, unlike the 7500F.
