THE CRUNCH

Nacon and Midgar Studio have set November 5 as the launch date for Edge of Memories, an action RPG that sees players control a Soul Whisperer battling a plague called the Corrosion. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, with pre-orders including a Legacy Costume Pack. The game features real-time combat, a corrupted world inspired by Japanese animation, and a soundtrack featuring

Emi Evans and Yasunori Mitsuda. Players will explore the continent of Avaris, ride a feline companion called a Nekaroo, and face enemies that transform the landscape. The narrative follows Eline, an itinerant Soul Whisperer, who must use a dark power to control the Corrosion within her body to save the world.

The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and emphasises an emotional journey through nomadic civilisations. Midgar Studio describes the story as having no fillers, with every quest adding depth to the characters or their relationships.
