THE CRUNCH

A new PC game called Dust till Dawn mixes the satisfaction of cleaning with the creeping unease of Japanese horror. You play a maid restoring a rural village plagued by mysterious dust. The title is coming to Steam, but no release date has been set. The game aims to make familiar spaces feel uncanny through a manga-influenced art style.

The title is being developed by Mac n Cheese Games and is inspired by the works of Junji Ito. The game features music composed by Akira Yamaoka, best known for his work on Silent Hill. Players earn Yen to upgrade tools and unlock new locations, but staying late brings the risk of supernatural encounters.

The experience is described as a cozy, meditative loop with no pressure to rush. As you clean, the dust returns and objects move, hinting at a larger mystery. The game combines the rhythm of restoring order with the slow-burning tension of horror manga.
