THE CRUNCH
Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver have announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Royal Edition will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The port is expected to arrive alongside the game's general release on other platforms.
The Royal Edition is the standard version of the game, not a special collector's item, according to the publisher. This suggests the Switch 2 version will be identical to the main release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The port is being handled by Spike Chunsoft, a studio known for its work on the Pokémon series.
The Switch 2 port is significant because it brings the historically grounded RPG to a new audience. The game is known for its realistic combat and lack of fantasy elements, which may appeal to players who prefer grounded, realistic experiences. The port is also notable for its late release window, as the game is not expected to launch until 2027.
