THE CRUNCH

JETMAN has announced that Kowloon’s Gate: Suzaku will launch on the Nintendo Switch on October 29. The title is a reimagining of the 1997 classic, set as a prequel to the original game. Players explore the maze-like alleys of Kowloon Walled City and use photos as clues to track down locations and bring back memories through psychography.

The Switch version of Kowloon’s Gate: Suzaku is based on the PlayStation VR title Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku, which was released in Japan in 2017. The game is described as an ultimate 'strolling game' that allows players to wander through the city's alleys and discover familiar faces in higher definition. The developer notes that the Switch version offers angles and locations never before seen in the original game.

Kowloon’s Gate: Suzaku is set as a prequel to the 1997 classic, offering a fresh perspective on the world. Players must use an album of photos as clues to track down exact locations and bring back memories through psychography, a fictional concept involving thoughtography.
