THE CRUNCH
NVIDIA has launched DSX Ready, a qualification programme for power and cooling products that meet its DSX AI factory reference design requirements. The program initially covers battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDUs), with Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, Tesla, LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv already qualified. Builders can use the program to evaluate offerings with more
confidence and reduce integration risk, though passing qualification does not replace site-level engineering or imply site-level stability. For BESS providers, partners run required tests and submit data for NVIDIA review. For CDU providers, the path uses a self-qualification suite to determine whether an offering meets functional requirements. The program connects partner innovation to infrastructure choices behind NVIDIA DSX AI factories.
The DSX Ready programme is part of the broader NVIDIA DSX AI factory platform, which unifies design and operations across compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software. This system view matters because optimising one part of an AI factory can shift the bottleneck elsewhere. By bringing power and cooling into a common qualification framework, NVIDIA aims to help builders turn computing capacity into useful AI output within available power, cooling, water and grid constraints.
