THE CRUNCH

NVIDIA has added CPU temperature, clock speed, and power consumption to its Statistics overlay in version 11.0.9 of the NVIDIA App. This update allows GeForce owners to monitor processor thermals directly within the software, removing the need to run a separate tool like HWiNFO or MSI Afterburner while gaming. Users can customise the display with different layouts and metrics via the Alt+Z menu.

The new metrics appear in the Statistics overlay, which can be toggled with Alt+R. Users can select which data points to show and adjust the font size and colour. The feature works alongside DLSS override tracking, letting players confirm which preset is active while watching CPU performance.

The update does not replace dedicated monitoring software. VRAM and system RAM usage are still absent, and CPU utilisation is shown as a single aggregate figure rather than per-core breakdowns. For users needing that level of detail, tools like RTSS remain necessary.

The feature is now available in the latest NVIDIA App update for GeForce users.
