NVIDIA has introduced "Preset C", a faster performance mode for DLSS Frame Generation, in the latest NVIDIA App beta update. The company says the mode can make frame generation up to 35% faster on the GeForce RTX 5060, with minimal trade-offs in image quality.
The speed-up comes from replacing the optical flow model, which handled in-game elements such as UI and ray tracing, with a lighter AI algorithm. NVIDIA says the change boosts frame rates across DLSS Frame Generation, Multi-Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation.
Preset C applies to the GeForce RTX 40 series, RTX 50 series and RTX Spark. To try it, you need the latest NVIDIA App beta version.
