THE CRUNCH
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the October 2026 Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, which will be available from October 6. The three titles are Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, F1 25, and Hunt: Showdown 1896. The games will be available to claim until October 5, after which subscribers can continue playing them as long as their subscription remains active.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is a cooperative shooter where players recruit teammates from the mainline series and spin-offs to fight giant enemies, including voxel versions of old favourites. F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, featuring Career and My Team 2.0 modes, as well as a new multiplayer mode called F1 World. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter set in corrupted backwaters, where players track down bosses and extract with their bounty.
PlayStation Plus members have until Monday, October 5, to claim the previous month's games: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes. Once claimed, players can continue to play these titles after the claim window closes, provided they remain a subscriber to any PlayStation Plus tier.
