THE CRUNCH

AAEON has introduced two microATX industrial motherboards designed for Intel's upcoming Arrow Lake-S processors. The MAX-Q870A targets advanced AI and machine vision tasks, while the MAX-H810A focuses on cost-efficient automation and HMI applications.

The MAX-Q870A supports up to 125W Arrow Lake-S CPUs, whereas the MAX-H810A is limited to 65W SKUs. This power difference aligns with their intended use cases, with the higher-wattage board suited for demanding AI workloads and the lower-wattage option for more energy-efficient industrial environments.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

OEMs and system integrators will likely begin designing industrial PCs around these new boards, potentially accelerating the adoption of Arrow Lake-S in embedded and industrial markets.
