THE CRUNCH
Gigabyte has launched a 64GB unified memory version of its AI TOP ATOM desktop system, expanding its existing 128GB offering. The new configuration, available from October 23, retains the hardware design based on the NVIDIA DGX Spark platform and is aimed at developers and researchers needing flexible on-premises AI development environments. The system supports clustering up to four units with NVIDIA Sync for larger memory pools and integrates NVIDIA CUDA software tools for local AI workflows.
The new 64GB version joins the existing 128GB configuration, giving users more choice to match their model sizes and workflows. Gigabyte says the system is designed for offices, laboratories, and educational environments, allowing users to run model inference and data analysis locally while maintaining control over project data. The platform integrates NVIDIA CUDA accelerated software and the Gigabyte AI TOP Utility, which supports model downloading, inference, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Gigabyte demonstrated the potential of the system for agentic AI applications in a multi-node scientific computing test, integrating NVIDIA Nemotron open models with the NVIDIA NemoClaw agent blueprint. This setup connected research hypothesis generation with simulation workflows. The company is also continuing to explore the use of AI TOP ATOM for agentic AI applications.
Availability, sales channels, and pricing may vary by region. Interested users should refer to Gigabyte's official announcements and authorized local distributors for details.
The Gigabyte AI TOP ATOM 64GB unified memory version is officially available starting October 23, 2026.
