THE CRUNCH

GL.iNet and ExpressVPN have launched the Fortify (GL-MT6000), a Wi-Fi 6 router that integrates ExpressVPN's privacy technology directly into the device. The router, built on GL.iNet's Flint 2 platform, offers dual-band AX6000 speeds and WireGuard support, and comes with a 12-month subscription to ExpressVPN's Advanced plan.

Fortify is designed to simplify network-level VPN protection, bringing ExpressVPN's capabilities into the router's firmware. The device features a quad-core 2.0 GHz processor, 1 GB of DDR4 memory, and 8 GB of eMMC storage, supporting up to 4,804 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. It includes OpenVPN DCO and WireGuard support, with VPN speeds up to 900 Mbps.

The router includes 12 months of ExpressVPN's Advanced plan, which covers the device and personal devices when away from home. The subscription also grants access to ExpressVPN's additional privacy tools, such as the ExpressKeys password manager and ExpressMailGuard for email privacy.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The router is available starting September 16, 2026, for $199.99 USD through the official GL.iNet online store.
