THE CRUNCH

Zyxel Networks has announced the XS1935 series of 10G multi-gigabit smart managed switches, targeting small and medium-sized businesses that need higher bandwidth and power for modern devices. The series includes 10- and 12-port models, with an all-fiber variant, and offers PoE++ power delivery of up to 90W per port.

The XS1935 series aims to replace older network switches that cannot keep pace with newer, high-bandwidth devices such as Wi-Fi 7 access points and AI multi-camera appliances. The compact designs provide capacity suited to SMB needs without unnecessary scale. Zyxel notes that the new switches help eliminate bottlenecks that can cause slow file transfers, stalled backups, and lag during multi-user access.

The switches feature Lite-L3 network control with VLAN, Quality of Service (QoS), link aggregation, and L3 static routing. Users can manage the devices via standalone mode or Zyxel's Nebula cloud management. Advanced L3 routing and NetworkedAV mode can be unlocked through an additional Access L3 License, allowing businesses to upgrade capabilities without replacing the hardware.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The XS1935 series is expected to be available through Zyxel's distribution channels, though availability dates were not specified in the press release.
