THE CRUNCH

Apple's iPhone Duo foldable opens for preorder tomorrow, October 16th, at 8am ET (5am PT), but you can get most of the order sorted today. The product page already lets you pick a colour, storage capacity, carrier preference and whether to set up a trade-in on the $1,999 phone. Once those details are in, all that remains tomorrow morning is to confirm the order sitting in your cart.

Prepping the cart should save time and put you ahead of people still customising their choices when preorders open. The Verge notes there is plenty of hype around the foldable, and the pre-filled carts should give Apple a sense of how many customers are willing to put money down before the official window opens.

For context, the phone was announced in September at new CEO John Ternus's first major product launch, and it arrives October 23rd. Its $1,999 price sits just above the Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 8, Apple's first entry into a foldable market already populated by Samsung, OnePlus and Google.
