Shueisha Games and developer LASTWONDER have announced HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection, a roguelite action game. The title is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC platforms.

HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection is a new roguelite action game from LASTWONDER, the studio behind the popular roguelike RPG Exit 8. The title is being published by Shueisha Games. The game is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The project is a spiritual successor to the 1995 anime OVA HOSHiN ENGi. The original OVA was directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, a veteran of the Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D films. The new game is expected to capture the dark fantasy tone of the source material.
