THE CRUNCH
FunnyPlaying has launched the FPGB Mini, a handheld that plays original Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges. The device is smaller and cheaper than the Analogue Pocket, which now costs $239.99 after recent price hikes. The FPGB Mini is discounted from $89.99 to $69.99.
The FPGB Mini is compatible only with Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridges, unlike the Analogue Pocket, which also supports the Game Boy Advance and Sega Game Gear. Despite the narrower compatibility, the FPGB Mini is only slightly wider than a cartridge, making it extremely pocketable. The device is available now at a discounted price of $69.99, undercutting the Analogue Pocket by more than $170.
Analogue raised the price of the Pocket to $239.99, making the FPGB Mini a more affordable option for retro enthusiasts who do not need support for more advanced systems. The FPGB Mini is produced by FunnyPlaying, a company known for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance upgrade kits.
