THE CRUNCH
Wardogs launches in early access this week, offering a 100-player militaristic sandbox where three teams compete for control zones. The game blends tactical gunplay with building and destruction mechanics. It is followed by a classic horror movie adaptation, a battle castle game, a sci-fi survival sim, a horror farming RPG, and a VR-enabled FPS.
Wardogs is the headline release this week, entering early access on Thursday 10 September. The title is an All-Out Warfare FPS that pits three teams against each other in a large-scale, up to 100-player sandbox. The core mode is inspired by 'King of the Hill', where teams fight for control of randomized 2x2km 'Control Zones'. The team with the most players inside a zone earns points, with the first to reach 100 winning the match. The game combines tactical gunplay with building and destruction mechanics.
The week's release slate also includes a classic horror movie adaptation that appears to be launching over a month early. Gamers can also look forward to a battle castle game, a sci-fi survival and base building title, a horror RPG farming sim, and a first-person shooter that offers an optional VR mode for headset owners.
