THE CRUNCH
Hanover-based TigerByte Cyber has emerged from stealth mode with a $3 million seed round led by Hale Capital Partners. The company provides cyber hardening for AI and edge devices through its Cyber Protection Suite (CPS), a plug-and-play solution that delivers hardware-enforced security capabilities including data validation, deep packet inspection, and post-quantum encryption. TigerByte Cyber will use the funding to
scale its technology to modernise communication and navigation systems across military and commercial aircraft, drones, satellites, and vehicles, and to expand its US manufacturing capabilities. The firm has already secured over $7 million in contracts with US government agencies, including the US Space Force, the US Navy, and DARPA. TigerByte Cyber is built on technology originally developed by WebSensing, a company that specialised in single-chip network security products.
CEO Sage Secilmis stated that the company was founded to bring modern cloud security principles to the edge, where mission-critical systems operate with limited protection. TigerByte Cyber combines multiple DARPA-developed technologies to create a foundation for autonomous, resilient systems that can maintain data integrity without disruption.
