THE CRUNCH

SEGA and Creative Assembly have announced Total War: SHOGUN 2 Complete Edition, a bundle that includes the base game, all downloadable content, and a suite of visual and quality-of-life improvements. The package will launch for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on October 13.

The Complete Edition brings a 64-bit upgrade, modernised controls, and UI scaling for 1440p and 4K. It also adds full Japanese and Chinese voice acting and text, alongside over 50 newly playable minor factions. Mod support is integrated via Mod.io.

The announcement trailer highlights Avatar Conquest Mode, which lets players create a persistent general and unlock unit upgrades through online battles. Cooperative and competitive campaigns and up to eight-player custom battles are also supported.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The October 13 release will test whether the Complete Edition can attract new players to the turn-based strategy title.
