THE CRUNCH

Monochrome Corporation and Good Smile Company have unveiled IGNISPHERE, a new fantasy intellectual property, and its first game, DAWNGAZER. The action RPG is led by Unicorn Overlord director Takafumi Noma and is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC in 2028. The project will expand beyond games into merchandise and light novels.

The announcement establishes IGNISPHERE as a new fictional universe woven together by numerous nations and races, with Takafumi Noma aiming to bring a hands-on approach to world-building. Good Smile Company will handle merchandising, while Kadokawa Corporation is developing multiple light novel projects set in the IGNISPHERE world. The official IGNISPHERE Twitter account has launched to share updates.

Music for DAWNGAZER will be composed by Yoshimi Kudo, who previously worked on Unicorn Overlord and Elden Ring. The teaser video features a piece composed and arranged by Kudo, with vocals by KOCHO. An exclusive interview with Takafumi Noma is now available on Dengeki Online and Famitsu.com, exploring the creation of IGNISPHERE and the development of DAWNGAZER.
