THE CRUNCH
Cyberpunk 2077's update 2.5 is due on October 22, but most of its contents have surfaced early. A YouTuber, WesNemo, apparently published a preview video ahead of schedule; it has since been pulled, but players on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours summarised what it showed. CD Projekt gave him and other creators early access before the official presentation, according to WesNemo.
The studio itself has confirmed only dual-wielding and cyberware customisation so far, so the rest should be treated as unofficial until the patch notes land. Per the leak, dual-wielding is limited to pistols and arrives via a new "Double Trouble" perk in the Cool skill tree.
Other reported additions include an Edgerunners 2 gig called "Clampdown", described as a prequel to the anime that premiered on Netflix on October 20, plus a mystery Night City tour sidequest. Glamdoc shops would let players restyle arm cyberware such as Mantis Blades and Gorilla Arms, alongside five new clothing sets, new hairstyles for both male and female V, Quadra skins via Twitch Drops and an Edgerunners music radio station.
The headline change for console players is integrated mod.io support on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, together with a long-requested FOV slider. The Switch 2 is reportedly left out of mod support, though it is unclear whether that changes later. CD Projekt will stream full details on October 21 at 5 PM CEST.
