THE CRUNCH

ElevenLabs users can now publish AI-generated music made with its ElevenMusic platform directly to SoundCloud, skipping the usual download-and-reupload step. As part of the deal, SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers get three months of ElevenMusic Pro free, which allows up to 1,000 generated songs, 500 stem splits and five custom styles or vocals per month. Tracks published this way will be labelled as AI-generated.

ElevenLabs says users have created more than 25 million tracks with its models since it first shipped a music generator in 2025, followed by a consumer prompt-based app in April 2026 and a model that can switch genres mid-track a month later.

The integration is narrower than SoundCloud's earlier tie-up with Moises, which lets artists pull tracks from SoundCloud for stem separation and remixing, then republish them. The ElevenLabs link works in one direction only, from generator to platform.

SoundCloud has positioned itself as the streaming service most willing to host AI music, while rivals lean toward containment. Deezer is adding a toggle to filter out AI tracks entirely, Bandcamp bans them outright, and Spotify and YouTube prefer cautious labelling. YouTube began rolling out a "Made with AI" label for fully or substantially generated tracks in October 2026.
