The sequel to Escape Academy, which the developers say was enjoyed by over four million players, turns the campus itself into one big puzzle room, with a hub full of secret passages, hidden tunnels and traps to explore between classes. The studio bills it as the first open world escape room game, though that claim comes from the game's own marketing.

Cooperative play returns in both online and split-screen couch forms, and a new optional No-Timer Mode lets players puzzle at their own pace. The story promises a dark mystery about the school's founding, with returning faces from the first game alongside new teachers and side quests.
