THE CRUNCH

Lenovo's Legion Go 2 with the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage now lists at $3,081.99 on the Lenovo US online store, up $233, or roughly 8%, from the $2,849 it previously reached. The same model launched at $1,349.99 and had already risen to $1,999.99 before this latest jump.

The increases are not limited to the flagship. The entry-level Legion Go S has climbed from $899.99 to $1,579.99 for the Z1 Extreme version and from $649.99 to $989.99 for the Z2 Go model.

The higher Legion Go 2 configuration is out of stock at Lenovo, although partner stores such as Best Buy still have handhelds available, including the 1 TB Legion Go 2 at $1,999.99. Lenovo has not announced the price hike, but the pattern fits the ongoing memory price surge that has hit PC hardware pricing, and RAM in particular, hardest.
