THE CRUNCH

Razer has unveiled a Pixel Art Pokémon collection of gaming peripherals, featuring imagery of the original 151 Pokémon rendered in chunky retro pixels. The set pairs a Razer Viper V4 Pro mouse with a BlackWidow V4 Pro wireless mechanical keyboard and matching wrist rest, plus a large desk mat and an Iskur V2 gaming chair.

For now the collection is launching in China, with pre-sales open through Bilibili and Tmall and a full launch planned before the end of November. TechPowerUp notes it is unclear whether the range will be a China exclusive or head international later, though that November date may double as the moment to watch for a wider release.

This is far from Razer's first Pokémon outing: the brand has recently shipped a Pikachu and Eevee collection and Charizard, Lucario and Sylveon editions of its BlackShark V3 HyperSpeed headsets. The pixel art angle leans on nostalgia for the original 151 creatures, a different flavour from those character-specific designs.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The full launch is planned before the end of November, which may also reveal whether the collection stays China-exclusive or goes international.
