THE CRUNCH

Publisher tinyBuild and developer Mandragora will release ReStory on Android via Google Play in 2026, the companies announced. The game puts you in charge of an electronics repair shop in Y2K-era Japan, fixing 2000s tech such as mobile phones, games consoles, handhelds, digital pets, cameras and home appliances.

Gameplay mixes hands-on repair work, including unscrewing, cleaning, soldering, repainting and reassembling devices, with shop management and a branching, non-linear story shaped by conversations with customers. Spare parts can be bought through an old-school in-game web browser, and the console line-up includes officially licensed Atari systems.

ReStory first launched for PC via Steam on August 6 and has sold over 500,000 copies there, giving the Android version a solid commercial track record to build on.
