THE CRUNCH
Amazon is launching Kids Tablets alongside its new Alexa Tablets, which run Android with full access to the Google Play store. The kid versions offer similar functionality, but parents can limit what software and content their children can reach.
The tablets come in two sizes, both with lightweight aluminium designs and 8-core processors, and appear identical to the standard models apart from the parental controls. Each is available with two styles of colourful cases featuring Paw Patrol, Barbie and SpongeBob characters: a thicker, more protective option aimed at pre-kindergarten children, and a thinner one for kids aged six and up.
