THE CRUNCH

NVIDIA is marking the retail launch of its RTX Spark laptops with a free public party in Berlin on October 16, the same day the first machines ship. The RTX Spark Launch Celebration runs at XPERION on Alexanderplatz, inside the Saturn store, and anyone aged 18 or over can attend, though registration through Luma is required and capacity is limited.

The evening mixes a stage programme with hands-on demo stations covering creative apps, AI agent workflows and games, including DLSS 5, which only debuted in early September with NBA 2K27. Creators AlexiBexi, FalcoPunch and Alex Wätzel are on the bill, alongside talks from CD Projekt Red. Five ASUS ProArt P14 laptops signed by CEO Jensen Huang go into a raffle, and every guest gets a goodie bag containing a six-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership that NVIDIA values at over €130, while supplies last. Food, drinks and on-site laptop deals round things out.

Practicalities matter here: the queue opens at 18:00 local time and doors at 18:45, and arriving early is how visitors secure entry, a raffle spot and a goodie bag. NVIDIA is even lighting up the Berlin TV Tower in its signature green, framing the event as "a new beginning for Windows PCs" ahead of GTC Berlin, which runs from October 20 to 22 with Jensen Huang's keynote on October 21 at the Tempodrom, also livestreamed.

For context, RTX Spark is NVIDIA's Arm-based platform for Windows PCs, announced with Microsoft at Computex in June. The N1X chip pairs up to 20 Grace CPU cores with a Blackwell RTX GPU of up to 6,144 CUDA cores and supports up to 128 GB of unified memory. Preorders opened at Microsoft's October 7 event, with Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra starting at $2,599 and climbing to $5,899 for the 20-core chip with 128 GB of memory.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

GTC Berlin follows from October 20 to 22, with Jensen Huang's keynote on October 21 at the Tempodrom from 11:00 to 13:00 CEST, also available via livestream.
