THE CRUNCH
Florida-based startup Comp AI has raised $34 million in a Series A round to expand its AI-native governance, risk, and compliance platform. The funding will accelerate the company's move into continuous cybersecurity, offering real-time monitoring and control validation across applications and infrastructure.
The startup, founded in January 2025, plans to use the capital to hire staff and accelerate development of its agentic AI tools that automate evidence gathering, policy generation, and control monitoring. The round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures.
CEO Lewis Carhart said the funding will help the company move beyond tracking work to proactively identifying and acting on risk in real time. The platform aims to reduce manual effort for organisations navigating evolving AI-related compliance requirements.
