THE CRUNCH

The Drug Store, HUMAN's 1998 pharmacy management simulation, returns on PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 on October 15, priced at $11.99 or 1,200 yen, developer Hamster has announced. The game casts you as a drug store owner weighing locations, product ranges and customer demographics while expanding your retail empire, with the occasional twist of a close employee proposing original products.

As part of the Console Archives line, which brings classic home console games to modern platforms, the re-release adds quality-of-life features such as customisable button layouts, rapid-fire settings, multiple save points and, for some titles, a rewind function. Screen layout options and filters that mimic the look of old CRT televisions let players tune the visuals to taste.

One caveat worth knowing before buying: this version includes only the Japanese release, so all in-game text is in Japanese.
