THE CRUNCH
French startup Hackuity has secured $19 million in funding to expand its AI-powered tool that helps security teams prioritise and fix flaws across cloud and engineering environments. The Lyon-based company, which has now raised $38 million total, aggregates data from more than 130 security products to normalise vulnerability findings and score them based on severity, exploitability and business impact. Its platform,
The company positions its technology as a response to the growing volume of vulnerabilities generated by scanners, cloud tools and increasingly, AI systems. Hackuity CEO Patrick Ragaru argues that AI models are accelerating the volume of findings, making manual triage impossible. The funding round was led by Forgepoint Capital, with participation from existing investors Bright Pixel Capital, Bpifrance and Seventure Partners.
Hackuity was founded in 2018 and previously raised roughly $13 million in a 2022 Series A round led by what was then Sonae IM, now Bright Pixel Capital. The new capital will be used to accelerate development of the vulnerability operations platform and support expansion across Europe and Asia.
Why It Matters: The funding highlights a shift in vulnerability management from simple patching to complex orchestration. As AI systems generate more security findings, tools that can automatically prioritise which flaws to fix first are becoming essential for enterprises.
