THE CRUNCH

Vince Lucido, the extreme overclocker better known as Kingpin, is getting back into PC overclocking, and this time his hardware partner is ASUS. After EVGA's abrupt exit from the GPU space, Lucido had largely stepped away from the scene, apart from briefly working with PNY on a planned RTX 50-series launch before that project was scrapped. A recent video update on his YouTube channel confirms the new collaboration.

The announcement came via a video update on Lucido's YouTube channel, where he said he has "some really sick hardware from ASUS and Corsair to start with" and described "numerous talks" with high-level ASUS management as what ultimately persuaded him to return to the overclocking industry.

Lucido has promised that whatever he has planned will appear on the Overclock Kingpin YouTube channel, which had no published videos at the time of writing, so concrete products and dates remain unannounced.
