THE CRUNCH

iBUYPOWER has announced the Pro AMD AI Halo, a mini workstation PC built around AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The company positions it as a compact machine for creative, engineering and data science work, capable of running local AI inference and rendering without third-party cloud services. It goes on sale in Q4 2026 starting at $3,999, while supplies last.

The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 pairs 16 Zen 5 cores with integrated Radeon 8065S graphics on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, 40 compute units, 128 GB of unified memory and a neural processing unit rated at 55 TOPS (trillions of operations per second, a rough measure of AI throughput). AMD also touts enterprise-grade security features and faster operating system and driver deployment on the chip.

The box itself measures 70x198x200 mm and ships with Windows 11 Pro. Storage is configurable up to 8 TB across three M.2 slots, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two 10 Gb Ethernet ports and two 40 Gbps USB4 ports, plus DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 outputs.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Availability is expected in Q4 2026, so the machine's actual retail configurations and stock levels are worth watching.
