QNAP has announced the QSW-M7230P-2X4F24T, an L3 Lite managed switch aimed at mid-sized and large enterprises running high-performance storage, virtualization and AI workloads. The 1U unit combines two 100GbE QSFP28 ports, four 25GbE SFP28 ports and twenty-four 10GbE RJ45 ports, all of the latter carrying IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ power.
The 10G access ports can deliver up to 90 W each from an 800 W power budget, so devices such as Wi-Fi 7 access points, AV over IP encoders and decoders, and PTZ cameras can draw both power and 10G connectivity from the same switch, without separate injectors or power runs. QNAP positions the design as a way to put a 100G backbone, 25G server and NAS links, dense 10G access and high-power PoE in a single chassis.
