THE CRUNCH

Sapphire has launched a Valor Mortis Edition of its Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT, a special version of the card dressed in art from One More Level's upcoming first-person Soulslike. The bundle includes a copy of the game, redeemable through AMDRewards.com, and was put together with AMD and the studio behind Ghostrunner.

The game-themed touches sit on the Quick Connect MagniPlate backplate and fan hubs, with addressable RGB lighting on the side that can be customised to match the paint job. The Nitro+ design hides the 12V-2×6 power connector behind a magnetic back plate, and Sapphire bundles a 12V-2×6 to triple-8-pin adapter for older power supplies.

Under the artwork, the card is identical to the standard Nitro+ RX 9070 XT OC: an RDNA 4 GPU with 64 compute units clocked at up to 3,060MHz and 16GB of 20Gbps GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. Club386's own testing of the Nitro+ cooler found it held the non-OC card at 59°C while producing just 36dB under load, so the design has form for running cool and quiet.

Valor Mortis itself is set in an alternate, plague-ravaged 19th-century Europe in the aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars, casting you as a resurrected soldier of the Grande Armée wielding swords, pistols and supernatural abilities. It launches on October 13, 2026, and the developer has previously set the game's price at $40 / €40, with UK pricing still unconfirmed. The card arrives later in October 2026 from select retailers, though Sapphire has yet to reveal how much it will cost.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Sapphire has yet to reveal pricing for the Valor Mortis Edition, so the announced price at select retailers is the detail left to watch for.
