THE CRUNCH
The Switch 2 version of 007 First Light launches on March 18, 2027, developer IO Interactive has announced, with pre-orders open now. The game puts players in the shoes of a young, occasionally reckless James Bond recruit working his way through MI6's training programme and the newly revived Double 0 scheme.
The date lands where IO Interactive indicated it would. The Switch 2 adaptation was originally expected in summer 2026, but the studio pushed it back to March 2027 in September, and this announcement pins that window to a specific day.
Players elsewhere have already had the chance to form opinions: 007 First Light first launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 27, 2026. The Switch 2 version arrives roughly ten months later.
