THE CRUNCH

The cowboy life simulation game Cattle Country has received its Bandits & Bounties update, published by Playtonic Friends and developed by Castle Pixel. The headline additions lean into the lawless side of frontier life: players can pick up Wanted Posters at the Sheriff's building and hunt down outlaws across the wilderness, stumble on bandit camps while exploring, and get caught up in random robberies and shootouts at local businesses including the General Store, Butcher, Carpenter and Bank.

The update also adds new equipment aimed at making frontier life easier. The Toolbelt lets players craft anywhere without returning to a crafting table, the Extra Large Bag expands inventory to four rows, and three new machines, the Animal Trap, Rock Tumbler and Tailoring Table, support gathering resources and making clothes and hats at home.

On the cosmetic side, players get new outfits, hats and head accessories, plus red hair as a character customisation option. A new fishing destination, reachable from the docks on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offers fish from every season in one spot. The update rounds out with extra NPC dialogue, improved inventory displays and a substantial batch of bug fixes.
