THE CRUNCH

The MSI MAG 271QPX, a 27in QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate, has fallen to a new low price of $519.99. The deal is not part of Amazon's Prime Big Deals sale, so it is available to any shopper rather than Prime members only.

The panel pairs a QHD (2560×1440) resolution with that 360Hz refresh rate, working out at 109 pixels per inch, which is sharper than a 24in 1080p LCD monitor at 92PPI. As a QD-OLED display, it uses per-pixel local dimming to produce true black levels, and it meets the requirements for DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. MSI claims it covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space with a Delta E of 2 or less.

For connectivity, there is one DisplayPort 1.4 input and two HDMI 2.1 ports, all capable of running the monitor at full resolution and refresh rate with a suitably capable graphics card. A USB-C port with DP Alt Mode adds 15W of power delivery. Variable refresh rate support runs down to 48fps, below which tearing can reappear.
