THE CRUNCH

Rockstar Games has updated the Grand Theft Auto VI website with previews of six in-game radio stations, giving players a first taste of the game's soundscape ahead of its November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

The stations span a broad spread of genres: Cocoteo FM for Latin music hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, Back Country Radio for renegade country, AfroBank FM covering African music from classics to amapiano, The Chamber 106.6 for metal, the Vice City pop institution Flash FM, and Dirty South Classics for southern rap and hip-hop.

The bigger structural change is that GTA VI introduces on-demand podcasts to the series for the first time. Both radio and podcasts can be listened to in vehicles or on foot, through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to characters' smartphones.

Rockstar describes this as the series' biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet. The station previews sit alongside six singles from the game's official soundtrack, announced earlier this month, featuring artists including Yung Lean and Travis Scott.
