THE CRUNCH

The Nintendo Switch 2 has dropped to £354.99 at Amazon UK, an all-time low, with Argos, John Lewis and Smyths Toys matching the price, according to Tom's Hardware. That is 15% off the console's current £419.99 MSRP and below its original £395.99 launch price.

The cut is striking because Nintendo raised the Switch 2's UK MSRP to £419.99 last month, citing the memory and storage shortage, so £354.99 sits below even the original £395.99 launch price. That works out at roughly 15% off the current list price and about 10% off what the console cost at launch.

Bargains like this are unusual for Nintendo, which rarely discounts its own consoles directly or cuts prices below MSRP. The report notes rising component costs have pushed every major console maker, including Sony and Microsoft, to raise prices, making a below-launch price on a console barely a year old especially rare.
