THE CRUNCH

It is a busy week for game releases, according to TechPowerUp's weekly roundup. Two titles stand out: Gears of War: E-Day, a prequel in the Xbox franchise, and a sequel to a major MMORPG. E-Day arrives on Tuesday 6 October and drops players into Emergence Day itself, the moment the Locust Horde first erupts from underground.

The week's other releases are sketched only in outline: a Star Wars racing game early in the week, a game based on a famous horror film, a 2.5D survival horror metroidvania, and a driving game set in peaceful countryside valleys. TechPowerUp points readers to its full roundup for the complete list.
